It is written there are lords and gods many in the earth, and to this day still serve the gods of their forefathers with no questions asked. Some might ask how do we know if we’re serving the gods of the people or God Almighty? Fortunately scripture teaches us there is one sure indicator that helps us to know! If there is a graven image or likeness of anything in heaven above or in the earth beneath upon an altar where you serve God at, then you can be certain it is not God Almighty you are serving (Exodus 20:3-5) Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Since we are told of God to have no graven or carved images of any kind we can learn also of another practice that is even popular in our day and age which is witchcraft, dealing with familiar spirits (Mediums) or wizards all of which has been popularized in the world today. A practice Manasseh chose to follow away from God, but who was later humbled in his affliction and did learn truly who God was. (2 Chronicles 33:1,2,5-7,12,13). Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:But did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord he was God.

In Gods final judgment He will shake the heavens and the earth, and all idols will be destroyed and man will then seek to hide himself in caves and want the rocks and mountains to fall on them from the fear of the Lord! (Isaiah 2:17-22) And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols he shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of? (Revelation 6:15-17).

It is hard to believe people are taken captive by satan and will do his bidding in the earth, but for those who repent and come to the knowledge of the truth they are no longer snared and taken captive by his will (2 Timothy 2:24-26).

Sadly people do not realize satan is “The god of this world”! And until he is removed he will work through those who let him (2 Corinthians 4:1-4) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The day is coming when satan will be removed forever so the nations will no longer be deceived by him! (Revelation 20:7-10) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
