We find in the Garden of Eden man was given the choice to fear and follow God or choose his own free will, and we know the latter was chosen. Gods hope was that man would live within His will, and even after many had lived for hundreds of years as man lived longer than today we see God saying: My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh:yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. ( Genesis 6:3 ). After the choice of continual wickedness God was grieved and made the choice to destroy what He had created! ( Genesis 6:1-7 ).
Gods will is not parallel with the worlds ways, and never has been or ever will be. It may come as a surprise to many but satan is the god of this world who hides the gospel to the lost. Only the shining truth of the gospel of Christ can pierce the darkness of mans hearts. ( 2 Corinthians 4:3-7 ) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
God did not send His son to fit into the world and it’s ways, but to be the example of His Fathers will in the earth. We too with genuine repentance become a reflection of the Fathers will in the earth as His truth is spoken through us ( 2 Corinthians 3:2-6 ) Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
We are all born into the world, and by our repenting and the grace of God we are no longer of the world as we once were. We are called out of the world and not to it! Jesus (Yahshua) prayed to the Father that His own would be kept safe, for they are a hated people for no longer following the world and what it stands for (John 17:13-17) And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
