Without faith in a promised tomorrow, you make today a worthless exercise in insanity.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1).

If we have faith we have the hope of an eternal home, and the promise of another tomorrow, but without faith it is impossible to please God, therefore a promised tomorrow is not even an option as we go through our day aimlessly without the Lord ( Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

How many will wake up and go about their day, and completely leave God out of it? Surely most people have some kind of faith don’t they? Scripture teaches us not all people have faith ( Deuteronomy 32:20), and even when the disciples were afraid when the wind was as a tempest we see the Lord saying “O Ye of little faith.” (Matthew 8:23-27).

Sadly there are those who do not care to know God, and they are known as the wicked for they choose to not even think about God! (Psalm 10:2-4) The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

To those who love the Lord it would seem insane to live a life separate from God, and even though some do we see they are choosing the wisdom of the world which is foolishness to God! ( (1 Corinthians 1:20,21) Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

There have been many who lived before us, and were convinced of the blessings of God and His promises. To read more of them Hebrews chapter 11 gives us hope.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:38,39).

  1. Such a powerful reminder of the importance of faith in our lives. Without faith, we are lost, but with it, we have Hope, purpose, and the promise of God’s presence. Let’s always remember to seek Him first. 🙏
