Luke 2:49.

At the very young age of twelve Jesus (Yahshua) was wise beyond His years, and when He stayed behind in Jerusalem his parents sorrowing looked everywhere for Him. His answer when He was found was He was about His Fathers business. ( Luke 2:40-49 ).

As christians we too are to be about our Fathers business, and this is our mission in the body of Christ through the same spirit which motivated our Lord! So what was the business Jesus often sought to do? It is to do what is pleasing in the eyes of His Father.

Jesus words say it best. ( John 8:28-29 ) Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. 

This life is not about us just as life was not all about Jesus when He walked through His life. It is the sacrifice of self and to look to the needs of others are we fulfilling Gods will for our life! ( Philippians 2:1-4) If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.  (Hebrews 13:15-16 ).
