The true gospel is not pleasing to man

When Jesus said “The truth will set you free” He did not mean to continue and live as you always have by doing as the world does, for He has called you out of the world and it’s way’s. His way is not the most popular and it will separate you many times causing you to be hated and mocked, but this is the true walk of the christian that does not fit into following the masses because it’s so accepted. Paul spoke the word boldly knowing his message was supported by God (1 Thessalonians 2:4-6) But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. (Galatians 1:10-12).

Throughout many generations God has always sent out His people and prophet’s to carry His message to the nation’s. His truth will not have a huge following for it is written wide is the gate to destruction and many find it, but narrow is the way that leads to life and very few find it! The way Jesus spoke to Jerusalem He would surely say to us today (Matthew 23:37-39) Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

The true follower’s of Christ are as soldier’s called to perform a mission of God to send out the message of the good news of the gospel, no matter if it be accepted or not it remains the unchanged word of God! (2 Timothy 2:1-4) Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. (Luke 6:22,23).

  1. Thank you very much for this post, Julia. I have not reposted anything for at least a couple of years but the message in your post is so important for Christians today that I will be reposting this. Again, thank you and may God continue to bless you…

    • I am thankful this writing moved you to share it with others Chris. We carry a message that is unpopular by the worlds standards, but Praise God we are not of the fallen world any more and are in Christ.
      Blessings

      • It did indeed, Julia. I think this is something that all Christians need a reminder of from time to time, and I needed it today. Praise God that we are in Christ. As one of my other blogging friends wrote today:

“Let’s praise Him — our Divine Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who dwells within those who believe — for not turning away from us when we turned away from Him. Let’s thank Him for loving us not because we’re worthy, but because He is love.”

I know I will never completely understand the love of God, but I understand it enough.

Thank you again and God’s blessings…

  2. What most people don’t understand in Jesus’ statement in John 8:32 is the truth of the good news He taught and that His sacrificed blood was intended to set us free from the penalty of sin and not permission to remain in it by placing themselves above the law/commandments with having a misconceived idea of grace being a license to sin.

    • You could not of said this any better. So many want their cake and eat it too. They want to claim to be a Christian with one toe on the narrow path while living on the wide path of destruction.

May His Holy Spirit continue to guide you into all truth My Friend.
      Julia
