The Bible teaches that the dead are not conscious in heaven or hell but are in a state of “sleep,” awaiting a future resurrection when Christ returns. Rather than promising immediate afterlife awareness, Scripture consistently presents resurrection—not death—as the moment when human beings receive life, judgment and their ultimate reward.

I am so happy to see such a good write up of the truth of what happens after we die. I am tired of people saying when someone passes away how their loved ones are now watching over them, or they say they have now entered heaven and have been reunited with a previous loved one. Sadly we have false teaching in churches whose Pastors are teaching such nonsense.

When confronted with that, I like to say: “They’re resting in peace in the crypt of Blessed assurance of a resurrection”. It’s a true statement without any theological detail. LOLGB+

Such a good thing to say! And yes so True.
Wow. Excellent post! Plainly describes what happens at death.
I agree Chuck. I just had to share this enlightened post.
