When God calls and we answer him then life as we know it is forever changed, and it is as if we have awakened into a foreign land. We are born into the family of man (flesh), and are born again into the family of God (Spirit). The words we now speak are from above and so starts the persecution! We are asked to separate from what we know to be precious and of God and also be aware of that which we know as evil. If we stay close to God we are kept protected to then carry out His will. This is beautifully described by Jeremiah: (Jeremiah 15:16,17,19-21) Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and deliver thee, saith the Lord. And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.

When we learn the importance of the call of God we know to fear Him and not people, for the life we now live is to the glory of God. We are filled with a Spirit focused on being a servant of Christ. We are called into the kingdom of God by receiving the word of God as truth! (1 Thessalonians 2:4,12,13) But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

If we heed the blessed call from above we are not as concerned as the way people view us, as we are of what God see’s us doing His will and when all is said and done be worthy to serve and reign with Christ a thousand years in the millenium. (Malachi 3:17,18) And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelation 3:20-22).
