“When I remember thee upon my bed,and meditate on thee in the night watches”.(Psalms 63:6). Night time is when most of us sleep and the last thing we want to do is wake up in the middle of the night for anything, but through the night is the best time God can speak to us since we are not busy with our jobs or with the trials and tasks of the day and He then has our undivided attention!

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,nor standeth in the way of sinners,nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.But his delight is in the law of the Lord;and in his law doth he meditate day and night”.(Psalms 1:1,2).

”I will bless the Lord,who hath given me counsel:my reins also instruct me in the night seasons”(Psalm 16:7).

Did you know even Jesus had the night watch in his life,for it was in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto his disciples walking on the sea.(Matthew 14:23)  And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

The next time you awake through the night,it just may be a time well spent with the Lord!

God’s timeline is more infinate than ours. ”For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past,and as a watch in the night”.(Psalm 90:4).
