“Laughter”

Times are so chaotic at times in the world,but if we look up and set our minds on things above our burdens are lightened.We are not alone in this world,God truly does love his children. “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed”.(Psalm 34:4,5).

God is not so far away that he doesn’t see you he looks upon the earth to see if anyone is seeking him! and this brings us Joy to know the God of Heaven and Earth wants to interact with us and suddenly we are not alone.“God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God”.

(Psalm 52:2).

Laughter is a true Joy God gives us and we will have trying times in our lives from time to time,but Ecclesiastes tells us of different seasons of life and a time to laugh is one of them.Chapter 3:1-8 tells of the many seasons man has while he’s here and it is verse 4 that gives us the knowledge that laughter is definitely a part of life. “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance”.

Did you know that while the wicked are plotting against the just that our Heavenly Father is laughing at them,because he knows what’s ahead for them down the road if they don’t turn to him. “The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming”.(Psalm 37:12,13).It is so good to know we are not alone here and that God is not blind to the way our lives are going.

It makes God so happy when we acknowledge him and his ways,but it grieves him greatly if we refuse to take his councel and are even considered foolish for it.When calamity (misery) befalls the foolish God will laugh and mock when fear comes upon such a person who neglects to take his sound ways that will preserve their soul.”How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, ane fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my Spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my councel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity(misery); I will mock when your fear cometh”.(Proverbs 1:22-26).

There is a time God considers us to not be filled with laughter,and that is when we should humble ourselves so we know that it is he who lifts us up! Which he does and never fails to teach us through this humbleness. “Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up”.(James 4:9,10). Afterall it is the Lord that is the lifter of our head. “But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head”.(Psalm 3:3).

There is true Joy in being a servant of Christ and even though we are persecuted for trusting and believing his way……it is the only way that he knows those whose minds are set on him and will fill our mouth with laughter!. “Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evildoers: Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing. They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought (Nothing)”.(Job 8:20-22).
