“The Vessel”

When we are called to do the will of God there will always be those who oppose what has happened to us,yet we stay firm in the confirmation that God knows what he’s doing and we are called to serve him and not the ways of man. Saul was such a person that learned how God can take the least popular individual and use him for something great! and of course he had a nay sayer in his life as well in the man Ananias….. satan will always try to keep your sin over your head, but the grace of God is Greater!!!!!

“Then Ananias answered Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake”.(Acts 9:13-16).
Elisha’s miracles are very memorable and one is seen in the widow that came to him after her husband had passed away for he was a servant of Elisha and she was left without means to care for her and her two son’s.The creditors wanted to come and take her son’s to be bondmen. When she told Elisha all she had was a pot of oil he then told her to go and borrow as many empty vessels she could from her neighbors and fill them all…………It was a miracle how many vessels she was able to fill from her one single pot of oil. Elisha then told her to pay her debt’s and use the rest for to care for herself and her son’s. (2 Kings 4:1-7).
God is the potter and we are the clay of which he will do as he will if we allow him to do so.We are then a vessel set aside for the Lord. “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet (fit) for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work”.(2 Timothy 2:19-21).
Jesus was foretold in the old testament of the one who would sprinkle many nations (people) and the truth of his ministry would be made of those who are washed in his blood which brings remission of sin. He is the high priest of a greater tabernacle.
(Hebrews 9:11,Revelation 21:22,23) “Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled (lifted up), and be very high. As many were astonished at thee; his visage (appearance) was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him; for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider”.(Isaiah 52:13-15). “Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover  he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission”.(Hebrews 9:20-22).
We are the vessels in his ministry which have been purged of our sins in the blood of Christ!
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
(2 Corinthians 4:5-7).
