“The Wicked”

Everyone knows God has an unending love for all of us, he does however keep the wicked accountable for their actions. “The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lords throne is in heaven: his eyelids try, the children of men. The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimestone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright”.(Psalm 11:4-7).

It is written that evil men and seducers will get worse, but we should not forget as a christian many of us have known and loved the Lord even since a child! “But evil men and seducers shall wax (grow) worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Jesus Christ”.(2 Timothy 3:13-15).
Why would anyone choose evil and wickedness over love and kindness is hard to understand, yet people daily set their heart away from Gods way and think nothing of it. God is not happy at all with the wicked and states this in his word. “Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day”.(Psalm 7:9-11).
Although it is not easy to see why anyone would want to set their hand to do evil when we have such a loving God, but did you know it is written even if you are very kind and loving to these type of people and show them favour that they will still not learn what is right from us. “With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord”.
(Isaiah 26:9,10).
So does it really pay to follow wickedness?  Well if people continue to only learn of the Love of God and not realize his eyes also view the wicked they may be amazed he covered it all in his word…..The good, the bad, and the wicked way of man!
It’s all fine and good to go about your life telling only of God’s love, but God lists many things that won’t be in heaven with him, and he does expect us to tell the wicked of their error or how else will they learn they are doing wrong and are jeopardizing their very soul?  “When I say unto the wicked, thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speaketh to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul”.(Ezekiel 3:18,19).
