We are all guilty from time to time of this I know, But if all our complaining made things happen any quicker we would see results more yet we all know how many things do not get turned around by doing this? If we have learned the truth of the word we know nothing is forever here and God has all things in control. God understands our weaknesses, but to continue complaining saddens God as scriptures tells us after all the blessings the Israelites had they still found room to murmur. “I the Lord have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the Lord”.(Numbers 14:35-37).
God gives many blessings when his will is carried out in the earth and at times his way is not well received, because we want our way and not his that is far better for us. Even though God loves and cares for us we too need to do our part in showing him that we will abide by his way and not our own, for this is well pleasing in his eyes. We have many examples in scripture to help us understand the sovereignty of God and his way of letting us know he will not tolerate an unruly people. “Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them fo ensamples: and they are a written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come”.
(1 Corinthians 10:6-11).
In the very end of our life we will all stand before the judgement seat of Christ and we will fare much better if we did what we promised God we would do as we keep his way ever before us. “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world”.(Philippians 2:11-15).
