“What Pleases God?”

How many people go through their day and only think of what their going to do next to make them happy? Sometimes God is not in all their thoughts throughout the day. Even God knows how the world is more important than to think of him and the blessings one could receive if they turn to him. “Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number”.(Jeremiah 2:32). Scripture tells us the wicked live their lives without God as he is not in any of their thoughts! “For the wicked boasteth of his hearts desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts”.(Psalm 10:3,4).

God takes great pleasure in those who are obedient to him. God is pleased when he is chosen over the snares some women have over men. Shame on some women who actually entice men that are trying their best to serve and love God. “I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her”.(Ecclesiastes 7:25,26). “For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell”.(Proverbs 5:3-5).
Some may laugh and think there are not men who are not married and want to please the Lords way of things more than find a wife, but there are and this is very biblical. “But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife”.(1 Corinthians 7:32,33).
God has sent his Son to be the complete package for all mankind, he is the all in all of what he was created for as well as the church itself. “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven”.(Colossians 1:16-20).
