“Righteousness Will Reign”

“The people of God stand out for the good to those who love right, and to those who choose otherwise they are then despised. Either way it is written the Lord knows those who are his. The people of God are a blessed people in the earth who rejoice greatly even though they suffer reproach for the cross of Christ they still flourish in Him! “And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations”.(Isaiah 61:9-11).

Anyone can claim to have faith, but it is written without works faith is dead. It is by our righteous acts we will one day be judged for. Even Abraham was aware of the importance of righteous works as he offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice. “Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness and he was called the friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only”.(James 2:21-24

We are warned of the importance of repentance from dead work’s to serve the living Christ. God is very aware of our works and love shown towards his name as there are books written of all of it! Now is the time of repentance for no one knows when their life will end and now is the time to return to our first love. “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich: and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent“. (Revelation 3:18,19). For further reading: Revelation 2:2-4.

“And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb”.(Revelation 7:13,14).

  1. It was a very good post, righteousness very definitely produces good works.
I would add that we are made righteous as a free gift from God by the faith of Christ (Romans chapters 3, 4, and 5), and good works are the evidence of God having already made us righteous as a free gift.
