Yes we all at one time or another have gotten angry as it’s a part of being human, but have you ever met someone that even if things are going their way they find time to still be angry. There is a difference in being angry or as scripture says a fool will continue in their anger. “Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools”.(Ecclesiastes 7:9).
We are told not to company with those who choose to be angry all the time or it will bring a snare to our soul. “Make no friendship with an angry man: and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul”.(Proverbs 22:24,25). Those who are easily angered or are evildoers need not think about an inheritance in heaven as there no place for it, for they will be cut off and those who wait upon the Lord will receive reward for the choice t Love the way which should of been taken. “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming”.(Psalm 37:7-13).
We can see ourselves in Jonah who thought to be angry was a well placed emotion at the time, till God made him aware of the love he had for the people of Nineveh who could not discern between their left hand from their right hand. (Jonah Chapter 4). Yes we will from time to time get angry in life but we should not let it cause division among us if possible to resolve an issue so the sun does not go down upon our anger! “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth”.(Ephesians 4:26-28).
