“Justice In The Land”

The word of God spans across many generations, and as God is a God of justice (judgment) we are given this sound advice from the book of Deuteronomy for our time. “If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong; Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days”.(Deuteronomy 19:16,17).

Did you know God actually tells us to keep judgment and do justice within our lives. It is a blessing for us to do what is right as God always rewards the good in the earth. God does not stand for unrighteousness nor do his people! “Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil”.(Isaiah 56:1,2).

To this day we have the judicial system in place for to keep those who choose to do evil or wickedness in our land, just as it was appointed so long ago, so it is today! As it was in King Je-hosh-a-phat’s time. “And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beersheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the Lord God of their fathers. And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city, And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do; for ye judge not for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgement. Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.” ( 2 Chronicles 19: 4-7 )
