Many think people are not supposed to judge, yet it is expected of us to do so as God says to execute true (Right) judgment between man and man. (Ezekiel 18:8-9). He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God.
It is not just the flesh that gets one into trouble, but the choice of words we use that hold in them life and death. Therefore do not allow your mouth to cause you to sin. If Gods just words be spoken by us then we have spoken good judgment. (Proverbs 18:21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof……. (Ecclesiastes 5:6).
It is the wise man’s heart that knows both time and judgment, God is very merciful and even asked in the book of Jeremiah if one could find a man that does execute judgment and seeks HIS truth and HE will pardon it! (Jeremiah 5:1) Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it…… (Ecclesiastes 8:5-6).
It is written people are offended by the word of God, but if HIS word dwell in you it is understood and HIS judgment is not to be feared if it be righteous judgment given by scripture. The day is coming when Christ will judge just as we did by HIS word that was not after sight, or by what we heard but that is was of Gods word carried out by HIS people. (Isaiah 11:3-5) And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins…… (Malachi 3:17-18).
Just judgment not given in an evil situation displeases God, and when HIS people turn from their evil or unrighteous ways to serve HIM and then become as a prey in the earth by those who still live in their iniquity righteousness falls by the wayside. (Isaiah 59:12-15). For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
