” The Lord Is Our Praise “

When we look around today at a world in chaos it is easy to see why Jesus would stand firm speaking only HIS Fathers words, and the world around HIM as it was did not affect HIM as it did them for HE relied totally on Gods will and not HIS own just as we do today for the Lord is our praise. (John 12:49-50).  For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Did you know that one day God will gather HIS people and joy over them with singing? (Zephaniah 3:17-20). We are to the world a peculiar people, but that does not take away from the holy calling on our life that has taken us out of darkness into HIS marvelous light! (1 Peter 2:9-10).  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

How is it when one can endure many a trial in this life that no matter what still praise God, it is as a garment of praise HIS people have over them and what a blessing this is! (Isaiah 61:3).  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

There are so many wonderful spiritual songs, and sometimes we are not able to think of the right words to say to another and it is nice just to sit with someone and allow a spiritual song do the speaking as we are told to teach and warn one another in this manner. (Colossians 3:15-17).  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
