It is almost unbelievable yet true that the very same Spirit which dwelt within our Lord and Saviour and was raised from the dead also is within us and quickens (Makes Alive) our mortal bodies, and such wonderful knowledge causes the Believer to turn from the deeds of the flesh! (Romans 8:10-13) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live….. (Galatians 2:20-21).
A true Christian follower of Christ puts no confidence in the flesh, and solely depends on the Holy living Spirit that causes us to rejoice in Christ Jesus. Even though we are flesh here on earth it makes us to appear as someone blending in the world, yet Christ said it best that He just as us are in the world but are not of it. (Philippians 3:1-3) Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh…….. (John 4:23,-24).
When we genuinely repent and turn from our sin we are not just a person called a Christian, but are known as “In Christ” for we no longer live as we once did and are now a people of hope and partakers of Gods covenants and are made close by the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:11-14). Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
