” The Eternal Temple “

A Spiritual Church

There are many church building which stand throughout the world, and so many instructors of the word that it would be easy to lose sight of the truth Christ actually taught. It is the person who stands strong in His Spirit that causes us to become His spiritual temple built upon the sure foundation that has been laid which is Christ Himself! (1 Corinthians 3:9-11). Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Jesus is known as the chief corner stone and His church is built up a spiritual church of His people called “Lively Stones” as He Himself is a “Living Stone” chosen of God but rejected of men to this day. For those who need to visually see a building Christ is busy calling His people to Him. ( 1 Peter 2:4-10). To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Even though man continues to build with wood and stone the day will come when His truth will be revealed by fire as all foundations of man such as gold, silver, precious stones, wood , hay and stubble will not remain ONLY the temple of God that is found in Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 3:12-17).

If we look at the big picture God has always been in His Holy Temple (Psalm 11:4) and He covers Himself with light, and stretches out the heavens as a curtain that is a tent which He dwells in! (Isaiah 40:21-22)  Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?  It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:….. (Psalm 104:1-2)…… (2 Samuel 7:1-6).

Christ is the light of the world and in His eternal kingdom God Almighty and the Lamb will be the temple that has always been from the foundation of the world! (Revelation 21:22-27).  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.  And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
