” Sing Unto The Lord “

w9i5t3no7x

With great triumph in life we lift up a song unto the Lord. Moses was sent to a most rebellious of heart in Pharaoh, but through it all he kept his eyes on God and did as he was asked and in victory safely took the Israelites through the red sea on dry land out of Egypt and broke into song! (Exodus 15:1-7). Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

It is at the greatest point of no return when a situation is so overwhelming does God step in and cause our heart to sing! This shows how the saying “Let go and let God” causes us to surrender all to Him and refrain from our own strength. (Psalm 40:1-5).  I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

There is nothing too hard for God, and it is when we exhaust our every avenue to solve a problem do we realize that total reliance on God is the only thing that causes us to rejoice and have true joy! (Colossians 3:16-17). Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
