Without the Spirit of the living God we could very well stay on the wide path leading to destruction, but it is His Spirit that keeps us in remembrance of His word and keeps us on the narrow path that leads to life and in obeying His judgments. (Ezekiel 36:23-27). And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
We serve a just and righteous God and in the book of Luke even Jesus taught Simon the importance of making the right judgment in a situation. (Luke 7:40-43). And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
The ungodly and wicked absolutely hate what is right, but those who serve the Lord will cling to Gods just cause in the earth. (Proverbs 19:27-29). Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.
The day will come when the Saints of the Lord will judge the earth and even angels, not my words but Gods! (1 Corinthians 6:1-5).
1 John 4:17 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
