With so much turmoil and strife happening in the world which is all part of Gods plan, we can be certain our Lord forever stays the same and in that we can rejoice. (Hebrews 13:8).
There are so many reasons to rejoice in all that has been given us by serving Christ such as power over our enemies and that nothing will be able to hurt nor destroy us, yet Jesus said what we really should be rejoicing over and that is our names are written in heaven! (Luke 10:17-20). And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
There is a lot to be said for those who choose to do what is right, for when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice because righteousness is of the Lord. (Proverbs 29:2) When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn…… (Proverbs 28:12).
Those who wait upon the Lord have much to rejoice in, as their soul has been delivered from death and He is the only help that is needed as we pass through this life! (Psalm 33:18-22). Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
