Zion is God’s redeemed people,and the Holy Spirit that burns within them will be planted in the earth by the hand of God (Isaiah 51:16) And I have put my words in thy mouth,and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand,that I may plant the heavens,and lay the foundations of the earth,and say unto Zion,thou art my people.

 The New Jerusalem (Zion) was foretold of in the book of Isaiah and we can see that it reads parallel with the book of the end times of Revelation. This is prophecy coming to pass (Isaiah 65:17-19) For,Behold,I create new heavens and a new earth:and the former shall not be remembered,nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create,for,behold,I create Jerusalem a rejoicing,and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem,and joy in my people:and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her,nor the voice of crying.

 (Revelation 21:1-4) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem,coming down from God out of heaven,prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,Behold , the tabernacle of God is with men,and he will dwell with them,and they shall be his people,and God himself shall be with them,and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;and there shall be no more death,neither sorrow,nor crying,neither shall there be any more pain:for the former things are passed away.

 Zion is the Lords house in which all the nations will one day learn of His ways! (Isaiah 2:2,3) And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains,and shall be exalted above the hills;and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say,come ye,and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,to the house of God of Jacob;and he will teach us of his ways,and we will walk in his paths:for out of Zion shall go forth the law,and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

 Many know of Mount Horeb where Moses went up and God spoke to him, and so terrible was this place that Moses feared, but today for those who have been redeemed we have come to Mount Sion (Zion) the city of the living God! It is the church of the firstborn (Hebrews 12:21-25) And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven.
