” Scripture Tells Us Judgment Is Inevitable “

Can a nation live in sin away from God and there be no repercussions? Will God turn a blind eye to a people who choose wickedness over righteousness? Scripture teaches us most certainly not, and since God is merciful and hoping none will perish He states He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. (Ezekiel 18:32)……. (Ecclesiastes 5:4)

God lamented greatly in telling Israel that they were in need of repenting for their transgressions, and His message is no different over the land to any one of us today! (Ezekiel 18:26-32). When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die. Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Some years back there was a billboard sign which spoke in jest yet there was truth in its message which read “This is God, Don’t make me come down there”. Scripture says us the day will come when He will leave His place and come down to earth to punish for the iniquity people have decided to live by. It is not a joke that God wants us to love and fear Him. He tells His people to not live by the world’s standards and even to hide themselves as He comes to punish the ungodly. (Isaiah 26:20-21)  Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain……… (Revelation 18:4).

Out of love God even gives us examples of previous events so we learn not to live as some did and tells us what happened so we do not repeat others wrong actions.(2 Peter 2:4-6). So when we see the sign of the times given us of how it will be before Christs return as man will make laws to accommodate the immorality of same sex marriage or as spoken of by the prophet Daniel in a vision given him that the most high of the land will even change laws……. But in the end the kingdom of God will be given to His saints! (Daniel 7:22-28).

  1. Dear Julia,

This is such a good post !

If only people would have a GLIMPSE of the true Heart of GOD. We see HIS heart in HIS Beloved SON+, our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Our Holy, Heavenly FATHER gave us HIS dear SON+ so that we might have WAY+ to come to The FATHER … a WAY+ that is SURE and CERTAIN.

Our Holy, Heavenly FATHER takes NO PLEASURE in the death of the Wicked. Would we take pleasure in the death of our wayward, rebellious child ?

NO, no, a thousand times NO ! We would grieve to the end of our days over his/ her death.

Natural parents would be SO OVER-JOYED to have their wayward child return, in shame and humility , forsaking his or her rebellious, wayward ways.

What would the parents require of such a child ? Would they be harsh and mean and demand a punishment for justice ?

NO. They would be in tears of relief and welcoming LOVE — and gratitude — that the wayward child has turned his or her life around from the pathway of regret and sorrow un-ending.

Once he or she was lost……. but NOW he or she is FOUND!

The parents would be OVER-JOYED because their child is NO LONGER HURTING him/herself with SIN and DEATH !

Our dear Holy, Heavenly FATHER IS EVEN MORE OVER-JOYED when a wayward soul comes to HIM through JESUS CHRIST our LORD. It is a matter of GREAT REJOICING in the Heavenlies, Scripture tells us.

Oh, if the wayward souls could ONLY SEE that great LOVE of our LORD for them !

What , do you suppose, is the SECRET to opening their eyes to it ?

May the LORD bless your day and your labor for love for our LORD and His+ Kingdom.

  2. Sr Judith Hannah……… Your comment speaks like the prodical son who realized he had it better at home and returned with a repentant heart. In regards to your question of what may be the secret to opening peoples eyes would be seen in a couple of examples given in scripture.

God knew the rebellious heart of Pharoah and every time His servant Moses was sent with a message of what was about to happen and they all came to pass (10 Plagues) Pharoahs heart was hardened by God because He knew his heart was not set for the good of Israel! Just as His servants are sent to preach the word and at times will fall on deaf ears for not all have faith, and the lesson we are taught is if our message is not heard to shake the dust off our feet and move on……… unfortunately some of us are die hard tryers and stay a little too long when some just like the life they are in even when its not of God.

Jesus clearly said when answering the scribes and pharisees “He that is of God heareth Gods words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God”.(John 8:47). He spoke so plainly and simple even a child could of grasp it.

Jesus experienced the same hard hearts and rebellion when after many miracles the people still did not believe. (John 12:35-43).

So Dear Sister our mission is to tell of the glorious Lord we serve and some will accept while others have no interest and we are to strengthen those who are searching for the truth and unless repentance is near a heart God cannot enter and heal them as we see in the following passage unless one understand with their heart and be converted He will heal them. (John 12:38-40).

God is a heart knower and knows those who are His. (1 Samuel 16:7).

God Bless and keep you always in His care Sister.

  3. Yes… SO TRUE… and in some cases, SO VERY, VERY SAD.

Thank you, Julia, for your good words.
