We are known by our actions, and the symbolism of a tree in scripture represents that if we are good then we bring forth good fruit, but if we side with wickedness and evil our fruits are corrupt and unprofitable (Luke 6:43-45), 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. (Proverbs 13:2-3).
The wisdom of the world at times brings strife and arguing, but wisdom which comes from above brings nothing but good along with mercy and good fruits! (James 3:17-18). 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
When we are chastened by the Lord it is not pleasant but needful as He does it out of love for us (Revelation 3:19).It is this chastening that forms us into what is good for our character as representing Christ whom we serve. The fruit of righteousness shines forth (Hebrews 12:11-14). 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
