Jesus often viewed how much people would honor each other,and to believe or honor Him was not their way.He taught how He did not receive honor from men,but only from His Father in heaven (John 5:39-47). ³⁹ Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.⁴¹ I receive not honour from men.⁴² But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.⁴³ I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.⁴⁴ How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.⁴⁶ For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.⁴⁷ But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

There are many vessels in the house of God and scripture teaches that we are clay in the masters hand,and if we purge ourselves of following after sin we are considered to be a vessel unto honor and sanctified for the master’s use! (2 Timothy 2:19-22). ¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.²⁰ But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.²¹ If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.²² Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
