We know that Jesus had the Holy Spirit of which a Believer receives through repentance. “Then Peter said unto them,Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”.(Acts 2:38).
The Holy Spirit gives the best sense of keen perception I consider to be a Great Strength and Protection to those who believe. It is written Jesus actually knew another persons thoughts. “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them,Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation;and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”.(Matthew 12:25).
I believe this perception is one of the Gifts of the Spirit known as discernment. It is a protection on our life so we know things before they happen so a situation does not overtake us. “I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my Praise to graven images.Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them”.(Isaiah 42:8,9).
This next passage is so like the Saviour and his people to know things to preserve the body of Christ and to edify it! “Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?” He always knew what was going to happen ………(John 18:4).
It is shown that through Faith like the man at Lystra being born crippled from birth and unable to walk perceived that Paul had the ability to speak the words of God and he would be healed and was! “And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak:who steadfastly beholding him,and perceiving that he had Faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men”.(Acts 14:8-11).
This passage goes on to say the people wanted to do sacrifice, but the apostles warned them they are no different as others and that all people through Faith could do the same.
My favorite teaching on this subject comes from the woman of Samaria that came to the well to draw water. “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that I ever did”.(John 4:29 & 39)Entire story is……(John 4:1-42).
For further reading of Jesus perceptions read: Luke 5:22……Luke 9:47……John 6:15.
Life is what you make it with the knowledge of Christ….It’s all in what you see!
