As christians we are more than aware of what God thinks about cursing. Our words can edify the body of Christ or in our own power say we are a christian and change a swear word, yet people know the intent. We are by the Holy Spirit kept in remembrance of the word of God it is for our own spiritual protection.

Recently I was reading an article and instead of saying chuck schumer the writer wrote chuck-you schumer,I was appalled as he claims to be on many sites, and claims to be a christian listing his own website as an Inspirational christian website SORRY! If our Lords words are spoken then blessing and cursing should not come out of the same mouth and scripture says brethren these things ought not to be(James 3:10).

Many claim christianity only to write opposite of the holy word, and this is why we are told to try the spirits to see if they are of God. Swearing all dolled up is not scriptural. Yes we are to be honest even when people speak against us as evildoers, but note we have liberty in Christ and are not to use this freedom as a cloak to be malicious.(1 Peter 2:11-17).

Remember John warned us there would be wolves that sneak into the sheepfold and act as though they are sheep. This writing is a reminder that we are suppose to be an example of the Lord we follow, and if we are acting as the old man that we put off and renewed in Christ are we doing Him justice to continue swearing?
