To escape anything is to make a conscience effort to leave or avoid something, and as Christians we are to avoid and eschew evil and by doing so will inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:8-12). 8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
There is only one type of being imprisoned that we would tolerate and that is being known as a prisoner of Christ. Paul said “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel”.
At the end of days just before the returning of our Lord there will be many tragic events that will transpire,and we are told to watch and pray always that we may be accounted worthy to escape all that is to come to pass. For those who are not watching and serving the Lord it will be a time that will take many as a snare!(Luke 21:29-36).
