The Chameleon

Websters dictionary defines a chameleon as one who is subject to quick or frequent changes. Of course there is the lizard who changes color to match whatever the environment. But mans enemy satan is as a chameleon, who appears to be something he’s not to entice a believer. He works through many avenues and sadly some are taken in by his deception. Remember satan can turn himself into an angel of light!

When we live outside of Gods will it is then we become captive by the wiles of the devil. The flesh and free will entice us into many temptations, but by genuine repentance one can be saved from the most deceptive chameleon satan himself! ( 2 Timothy 2:22-26 ).22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Always remember it is at the hardest times in life satan works overtime to steer you from keeping your eyes on God, as he did to Jesus when he appeared after our Lord fasted forty days and forty nights.
