Everything in this life is done in Gods time and not our own. We feel this most when we are in need of healing and at times feel God has not heard our prayers. In His time He will bring to pass what He knows is best for His child. When we are weak it is the Lords strength that brings us through all trials and illness! ( 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ) 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
When we pray for one another oftentimes it is the intercessory prayer that God will answer the prayer through the faith of someone else. ( James 5:14-16 ) 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
In the book of Exodus we find very strong words given by the Lord Himself, and the importance of keeping His commandments. ( Exodus 15:26 ) 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.
The word of God is life and health. ( Proverbs 4:20-23 ).
