If we seek for the wisdom of God as for hidden treasure, it is then we find His knowledge (Proverbs 2:1-11) 1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; 2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. 8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. 9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. 10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.
For some God seems so far away from them, but when we search for Him with our whole heart we will find Him. If we come to Him with a repentant heart and in sincere prayer we will find Him waiting for us to return to Him, for He is not far from any one of us (Jeremiah 29:11-13) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Acts 17:27,28).
There are so many things in this life that can take us from what is of God, and a lot of it does not have any value as much as seeking the kingdom of God! When we seek His kingdom first then all that we have need of will be given us (Matthew 6:31-34).
May we continually seek the Lord who alone is our life (Psalm 40:16,17) 16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. 17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
