As christians we proclaim the glory of the Lord in the earth by sheer gratitude for all He has done for us as we tell others (1 Chronicles 16:23-28) 23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. 24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. 25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. 27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. 28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
We who believe in Gods saving grace know His spirit dwells within us, and we are bought with a price. We proclaim Gods glory by honoring Him when we refrain from a sinful life (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in y our body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Jesus proclaimed His Fathers glory in the earth and said He always does that which is pleasing in His sight. The liberty our Lord brought to the earth was foretold of as He proclaimed liberty to all who are brokenhearted and held captive. He was the first to proclaim Gods glory in the earth and we through His living spirit proclaim the same! (Luke 4:16-21) 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears (Isaiah 61:1-3).
