How many of us who have experienced the saving grace of God go on to wonder why no matter how much we want others to receive his blessed message it seems to fall on deaf ears and hardened heart’s? So just why does this happen? after all we’re talking about soul’s that will be able to live for all eternity and never will die, who wouldn’t want that? Scripture tells us clearly why this happens and it will help us to better understand the next time we see the message go unheard by others.(Hebrews 3:13-15) 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Did you catch it? It is sin that blinds us and it is what hardens many hearts and closes ears to hearing the message of hope we are trying to tell. We too were as they are before we were saved, yet while we lived in sin we too were blind and hardened from the truth of God found only in Christ! It’s not that they don’t want the message, it’s that sin is more pleasurable than what is on the narrow path that leads to life.
A hardened heart that is not easily receptive to hearing the word of God remains closed til the truth of Christ enters in. They also do not listen because of the many temptation‘s this world offers and just as Jesus was tempted by satan as he showed Him all the kingdoms of the earth and told Jesus all this could be yours if you would come and worship me……Fortunately Jesus did not take that bait from satan.
How many times have we seen those who by the grace of God been saved only to return to the old life and think nothing of it. It is written the flesh holds no honour for any of us. It is what’s done for Christ that will last. “Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh”. (Colossians 2:20-23).
The story of Moses is most encouraging to the Believer, for although he was called by God would go on to stand before the hardened heart of Pharoah many times, but in the end it was God’s perfect plan that would come to pass! Still today we too are sent to a rebellious and hardened people which the deceitfulness of sin has blinded, but remember the Israelites were freed from bondage and the preaching of the cross still free’s people today! The angel’s still rejoice over one soul that is saved and there was a time it was our unsaved soul that came back to the one who died for us!
The power and draw of sin cannot be fully comprehend – Lucifer who was the chief angel, in heaven, in the presence of God still sinned. At the end of the millennium, after having our Savior reign for 1,000 years, Satan is let loose and STILL manages to get men to rebel. It’s a miracle that we are saved and only by his mercy and grace!
You are spot on…. It is truly miraculous we are saved by Gods grace….Shows just how much He loves us. Be Blessed.

Good mornin to you miss Julia.
People just naturally hate admitting that they’re a guilty sinner in need of spiritual rescue don’t they?
I also wrote a post on this exact-same topic, and I present it to you for your consideration. 🙂
