When we see all the rioting and people full of hate today it’s hard to believe the day will come when only righteousness will dwell in the land. We can believe it though because this is one of the many promises of God, and we know He is faithful to His promises. The day will come when the seventh angel will sound and Christ will reign in the earth forever and ever (Revelation 11:15) 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
So who will be able to enjoy such a beautiful place of peace where there will be no more sickness nor tears? A place where there will be a pure river that is as clear as crystal proceeding out of the throne of God? A place where there is a tree which bears twelve different fruits and whose leaves will heal the nations? It is “The Saint’s” which are those who lived their life for their Saviour and who endured much persecution for His name sake. They will wear the white robes of righteousness that has been washed in the blood of the Lamb! (Revelation 7:13-17) 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Revelation 22:1-5).
Surely the world would think “The saint’s” are a people who have the best this world offers and live without need of anything. They stand out from others for having more than heart could wish….. right? Actually they pass through life many times not ever being noticed at all. Gods wisdom while they lived made them rich in this life as we see in the story of the wise poor man. (Ecclesiastes 9:13-18) 13 This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me: 14 There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: 15 Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. 16 Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. 17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. 18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
The following passages give us a good picture of who “The saint’s” of God are and will one day have the reward of heaven as God promised them! ((1 Corinthians 4:9-13) 9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. 11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; 12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
It is a great reward from God the Father to allow “The saint’s’ to live with Him in eternity one day, a place where only righteousness will dwell in the land!
