So many are going from church to church searching for God only to be disappointed and leaving unfulfilled. So where is or what is the true church of Christ? Scripture teaches us “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT SEEN!
When God gave Moses the ten commandment’s the very first one was instructing man not to make an idol or graven image or to set up any image of wood or stone and to bow down unto it. We have just learned faith in God is NOT SEEN, yet we believe. When Moses did not return from Mount Sinai the people had to have something to worship and see and after Aaron gathered their gold earrings then made a golden calf! (Exodus 32:23-26).
Scripture teaches there no knowledge in places that set up any graven image. When was the last time you entered a church building and there was not a symbol or image of Christ above the altar? (Isaiah 45:20-23) 20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
(Isaiah 43:10-12) 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
So where is the true Church of Christ? Do we go to church or are we the church? We find the answer in the following passages: (1 Corinthians 3:16,17) 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
(Ephesians 2:18-22) 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:24).
If we the people through the holy spirit are the temple of God, then we are also in need of a Priest. Praise God He has sent His only begotten Son who has been made our high Priest who makes intercession for us to God the Father! (Hebrews 8:1,2) 1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

We went from church to church and never found one where we heard the Truth spoken. After years of searching we finally found one that was non-denominational and taught chapter by chapter and verse by verse through each book. It is very in depth teaching, because the pastor and his son are well versed in the manuscripts. They didn’t nust read the bible, they taught it as a whole, helping you understand how the Old Testament is interwoven with the New Testament. We stuck with them now for 20 years, and learned more from their teaching the pure simple Truth of Gods Word.
Bottom line though, is that we are the Church, the body of Believers is the church. Each member of the body serves a purpose in Gods Kingdom, with Christ being the head. Hebrews 4:11-16.
You are very fortunate to of found a place where they actually teach straight from scripture they are far and few. YES! we are the body of Christ the church!!! God Bless and Keep you in His Care.

It’s true, we’re fortunate, but it’s not a place where we can drive to. We watch it on Dish channel 256, or it can be accessed on internet. So actually anyone can be fortunate to be taught by them. It’s Shepherds Chapel. They read out of the KJV which is shown on the moniker at the bottom of the screen, you can read with them. They’re not like any other teaching you’ll ever see. They do not teach the rapture. Actually Pastor Arnold speaks against it on occasion, and had been criticized for that. Before he went into ministry he was a combat marine in the Korean War and was of the few marines that was in the thick of the fighting at the Chosin Reservoir. He has quite the testimony on how their lives were saved, (being outnumbered by the enemy), with a prayer and a promise he made to God, that he kept for the rest of his life. His son has since become senior pastor since he passed away in 2014. I probably commented more than you wanted to know. Sorry. Have a blessed rest of your day Julia. ❤
I am very familiar with Pastor Arnold and his son Dennis. They are a very small group of people who will teach chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Any time I watch them I tell my husband well we just went to church and didn’t have to get all dressed up to do it or go through any ritual or vain repetitions. I enjoyed your comment. Their church is not well known, but they have reported they reach alot of people all over the world including China.
When we first started watching there was alot to understand to his teaching. But what I liked about it was he would say if you don’t understand just put it on the shelf and someday it will. Sometimes he would be a bit course, but he would call it tough love. He’s a southerner so eventually I grew to appreciate his colloquialism, his southern expressions, and how he taught in a disciplinary way. His son Pastor Dennis is my age and has been cured of cancer three times. God has been faithful with answered prayer on his behalf.

What a testimony for Dennis!!!! I believe God heals just as He always has from the very beginning, yet sadly for some reason people put their trust in people and Doctors to their own dismay.
