Many rely solely on modern medicine for their healing, but there is one who heals not only our physical body, but also our minds can be made whole once again by Christ! (Matthew 4:23,24) And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
There is not a single disease in the earth that God is not aware of and able to heal. He has the ability to heal not one or some diseases, but all diseases known to man (Psalm 103:1-5) A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Do not lose heart if you or a loved one are suffering with a disease and healing has not come. Scripture teaches two reasons we are not healed. The first is what is done on our part, and the other is what is done on Gods behalf through suffering. We cannot live outside of the will of God expecting Him to heal us as we live in our sin and make no conscience effort of changing to do His will and not our own (Exodus 15:26) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
The second reason healing may not come is many times we learn through suffering and to depend on God more as seen in the case of Paul who was told “Gods strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14).
I was thinking about healing this morning. It’s become more difficult to walk. I’m asking the Lord to heal me, and help me walk better. 🙏🙌
This writing comes from the deep seated question I have had many times as to why some are healed and others are not. After much prayer this writing came to me this morning and it was such a comfort! I couldn’t wait to share it, because I believe it will help many. Dear heavenly Father I come before your throne of grace and ask for the healing of your servant Cathy, you alone Father are the one who heals and makes us whole. Please restore her ability to walk in Jesus name I pray Amen and Amen. Blessings over you Always Cathy.
Julia
…and Amen.🙏
I will pray for you Cathy. 🙏❤
Thank you Susan, your prayers are much appreciated! ❤️🙏
Thank you for praying Julia, I truly appreciate it! And I agree with all you wrote in the post!
Julia, I just saw your comment on my poetry site and left a response. Sorry for the delay. I’ll be checking that site more often in the future.
Thank you for this uplifting message Julia. I think we all need to be healed in some form. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My husbands back still isn’t healed and needs another lumbar injection. His follow-up appt was today. The doctor said if that doesn’t help, he’ll get his hips injected as well. It’s mainly from years of manual labor. The body is just not made to do this kind of work most of your adult life….but I’m praying for relief and trusting God will bring that upon him in due time. Blessings to you for sharing this comforting message. 🙏❤
Sorry to hear your husband is slow on being mended. All is in Gods timing, and even if there is not a full recovery we have the comfort of knowing in weakness God is our strength! Dear heavenly Father you know exactly what we need before we even ask, I pray you will bring renewed strength to Susans husband and may your healing touch give him wholeness and comfort in Jesus name I pray Amen and Amen. Stay strong in the one who alone is your life.
Julia
Thank you Julia. It’s been a rough few days, but my husband just saw his doctor Thursday and they just got another injection approval from his insurance, so next week, hopefully he’ll get some relief. If not the doctor said his hips are next. The xrays showed bone spurs in his hips, which could be why he can’t sit for long. Thank you for your prayers. They’re so appreciated. Blessings to you. ❤
Bone spurs are very painful and is caused by osteoarthritis and inflammation. God knows our every need and as christians we know the healing power of Christ can change any diagnosis, and hear all the time of people saying their doctor told them they would never walk and there they are walking. Dear heavenly Father you are our physician and the one who heals us, I pray you will lay your loving and healing hands on your servant who is suffering and make him whole once again. Give him the strength to endure and see him through this trial of his life in Jesus name I pray Amen and Amen.
Inflammation is a real problem in many diseases and I know personally an anti inflammatory diet can heal greatly. Massage therapy is an option that helps with bone spurs, and if the bone spurs are effecting the ability to walk or use your arms social security has benefits to help in that area, and may be something you want to look into.
Stay strong Dear heart as you love and care for your husband. I will be praying. God Bless both of you.

Oh Julia, I read your prayers to my husband, and he was so appreciative and thankful for them. Your assessment is correct. He had been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis back in 2013 by a Rheumatologist. He also has arthritis in his hands, which he inherited. His mom had it really bad.
He was approved for SSDI once his diagnosis was submitted to SS. Then it was a matter of less than a year that he heard from them. He had been working part time until he had received his first SSDI check. He would love to work, but it would be too hard on his body. Good days, bad days.
An anti inflammatory diet would be something to look into. He’s allergic to aspirin and NSAIDS, so Tylenol and steroidals are the only form of pain medication his body can tolerate. I could try the massage therapy with essential oils. I have a PDR book for both herbs and the oils.
It can get discouraging for him, but his sense of humor makes up for it. He is not one to complain. We’re staying strong together. Thanks again dear sis. Your thoughts and prayers are comforting and appreciated. You’re always a blessing Julia. ❤❤❤
So thankful this brought both you and your husband comfort. An anti inflammatory diet is to remove certain foods which cause the body to inflame the tissues such as breads, sugar, flour, and the like. I know bummer as I was a die hard eater of sweets and bread, but when I was told I had diabetes with a 365 blood sugar which is now completely normal PRAISE GOD The foods which caused inflammation were not as important any more. DON’T LOSE HEART there are so many other foods now that can be eaten, and the further you get from sugar the better you feel. Believe me I was not ready to give certain foods up, but a plant based diet, replace sugar with stevia, wellness wraps for sandwiches there’s a whole new world of food that is quite good. Cookies and bread’s made with almond flour are the best. Be Blessed and just know I’m here if you need some good recipes and if you have any family or friends with diabetes the book “The Diabetes Cure” By: Alexa Fleckenstein, MD is great! and another Good Book for many diseases is “Let FOOD be your medicine” By: Don Colbert, MD it is a life changer!
Main stream Doctors won’t tell you this, but with God on your side and the willingness to change your diet Life does change for the better. God Bless you both. Stay strong.

Thanks Julia for your amazing volume of helpful guidelines. The sugar is going to be the hard thing for him to kick out of his consumption. He did great with altering his diet when he had been diagnosed with diabetes 2. I was told by someone a few years back that drinking milk was a contributing factor to arthritis. When I mentioned that to my husband he said he would not stop drinking milk, and that was when he was drinking whole milk. Now I have it down to 1%, and it’s tolerable. Old habits die hard for him. You sound very knowledgeable about food diets, etc. Is there any validity to the book that’s titled Eat to Your Bood Type? I heard about it a few years back. I’m just thankful I’m in good health to at least be able to modify his diet. Thanks for your thoughts on this matter and caring enough to help. Gods blessings to you always. ❤❤❤
I hear you about the sugar as it was my downfall many days, but am happy now making my cookies and treats with almond flour and stevia. Yes it’s true about the milk being a contributing factor to arthritis. The alternative for dairy in the diet is oatmilk with regular, chocolate and vanilla flavors or Almond milk with the same flavors. Yogurt (Greek) and add stevia with cinnamon or whatever flavor spice you like. I always heard Oh you’ll see the more you get sugar out of your diet you won’t crave it and ODD ENOUGH it really is true!!! As your husband did not want to give up milk I said I’d never give up my chocolate and cherry licorice, but here I am alive with normal blood sugars without them. Old habits sure do die hard!!!!! I have heard of the book “Eat to your blood type” and was going to get it, but as the reviews came out and different talk shows have said there is not really any validity to blood type and eating.
If your up to cooking this is the best Anti inflammatory soup ever that I make all the time.
In a large pot put:
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Chopped carrot’s
2 Chopped ribs of Celery
2 Chopped Cloves garlic…… I buy jar of garlic and put in 2 teaspoons
1 Small Onion
6 Cups vegetable or Chicken stock
1/2 Cup Cooked Lentil’s (Optional) Cook ahead to add
1-2 Teaspoons ground Cumin
1-2 Chopped fresh tomatoes …… Sometimes I use Canned chopped Tomatoes
5 oz Spinach- (About a cup)
In large saucepan put Oil, vegetables and cook til tender…… Add Stock of choice and Lentils if using, Cumin and bring to a boil ….Once boiling turn down to simmer and add tomatoes for 2 minutes. Then add chopped spinach lad for just a minute til wilted.
ENJOY!
I usually cut up all my vegetables the night before in container in fridge and then just put it all together the next day.
God Bless and Keep you Both Always safe in His care.
