Too many times are we preoccupied about things from our past or troubles of the present, and may even think about an uncertain future. All of that time spent on such matters only zaps us of our energy and adds nothing to us. God does not want us to spend our days in such a way, and when we give the Lord all our concerns we then find peace in living for the now! (Matthew 1:28-30) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The only source we need in this life is the knowledge found in Christ in the land of the living, as our life is hid in Him. The knowledge we gain of Him is our peace and safety for our time as we live today and for the life to come (Psalm 27:13,14) I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Since none of us are promised tomorrow, may we spend our days living a life which is pleasing to the Lord and one that brings honor to Him. It is the now of our life God requires of us (Ecclesiasties 3:14,15) I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it!
Let us live in the now.
God is the great I AM.
