This has been written for those who believe witchcraft, astrology etc is not harmful and you may be surprised what God thinks of it. After speaking with one who said God helps them with their witchcraft I had to write this warning from scripture, and how to have fellowship with darkness is far from walking in the light of Christ!

There are many ancient practices that are still prominent in the world today, as they are presented as something benign as child play. Nothing could be further from the truth. If someone truly considers themselves to be a christian then dabbling in witchcraft, astrology or magic is not part of their life since God strongly advises to stay clear of it. God is so against such things as we read in Leviticus how people who were mediums and wizards were put to death because of it (Leviticus 20:26,27) And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

 Abomination is a very strong word to use, but such dark practices is exactly what God calls those who practice astrology, witchcraft, wizardry and mediums.

 ABOMINATION: Extreme disgust and hatred, To loath, To hate intensely, To abhor.

 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. (Deuteronomy 18:10-14).

The world will make the wrong look right and the right look wrong, and satan the enemy of our soul loves to have it so. Afterall he came to kill, steal and destroy and will use every avenue to steer a christian from the abundant life Christ came to give us! (John 10:10),( Isaiah 5:20-23).
