Shine Brightly

 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18).

 As Christians we are to let our light shine in a world of darkness and this light is the knowledge of Christ and as we share the truth it glorifies our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:13-16).  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

 We don’t have to look very far to see how many truly and sincerely follow Christ, while it is written we shine as lights in a world that is set on perverse and crooked ways. (Phillipians 2:13-15).  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.  Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

 Righteousness is so important to God that those who tend to doing His will  are a people who will shine forth as the sun in their Fathers kingdom! All that offends and works iniquity will have no place in the kingdom of God! (Matthew 13:40-43).  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (John 8:12).

Christ is the eternal light of this life and the one to come (John 1:1-5) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
