The mindset of the athiest and unbeliever is that this life is all there is and when we die there is nothing after. For those who believe know this life is just a stepping stone into eternity with our Lord and Saviour we served while we lived! Although we go through this life being persecuted and even hated for Christ’s sake we know we have died to the flesh and our life is hid in God ( Colossians 3:1-4) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

It is appointed to man once to die and then the judgment, in the mean time our life has purpose when it is lived for the one who died so that we may have a more abundant life ( Romans 5:17-21) For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. (John 10:10).

 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by deat h.For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better. (Philippians 1:20-23).

We can go through life thinking this is all there is, but the day will come when we die and can live again if we accept the only hope we have in this life and the one to come with the Lord Jesus Christ! Eternity awaits……………..
