A life that is changed lives in obedience to being chosen by Christ. “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you”.(John 15:16).
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever and with this good news we can be confident that what we learn of him will never change. When we accept Christ we are changed for the better, and there truly is a freedom in having a belief in the Saviour of our soul! “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another”.(Galatians 5:1,13).
We are different in the eyes of the world for we no longer follow in the ways we used to even though others do not understand sometimes, we need to know in the end of our lives we give answer to God and God alone and there is peace in following his ways that lead to life than the worlds ways that lead to death. “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savoiour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself”.(Philippians 3:20,21).
Daniel had a vision of the last days all of which deeply troubled him, it was of how the AntiChrist would try to have dominion over God’s people, But the saints shall prevail and all that Daniel had seen in his vision troubled him so much that even his countenance changed. “And he shall speak great words against the most high, and shall wear out the saints of the most high, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgement shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations (Thought’s) much troubled me, and my countenance (Appearance) changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart”.(Daniel 7:25-28).
Jesus has an unchangeable priesthood which every believer knows they are saved by grace and Christ is the avenue to the Father. Christ who has no weakness in him as there is in the frailty of man and Jesus makes intercession on our behalf to God. “But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, seperate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore”.(Hebrews 7:24-28).
Change comes in a shape and size. Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
Such an insightful writing. Thank you for this. Blessings Always.
