Taking Time With God

The world keeps us busy at times and it is so important not to forget to spend time with God. Time spent with Him is never wasted and He never forgets all we do out of love that we show towards His name. (Hebrews 6:10) For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Sadly we are living in a time where prayer has been taken out of our schools and to say the words God bless you is frowned upon. God wants us to show Him that we love and fear Him and by doing so we are reverencing Him. It is written we do not have to show this by an outward appearance though, but from our hearts we can praise and thank Him. (Ephesians 5: 19,20) Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus oftentimes spent alone time with His Father and by doing so He was strengthened to better tend to the multitudes which were in need! (Luke 5:15,16) But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed. (Luke 5:15,16).

May we remember to put God first in our lives, for spending time with Him makes all the difference on how we go through this life. ( Psalm 1:1-3) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
