It is a hard picture to imagine a world so devastated and desolate, yet it is inevitable with the course of events taking place as man’s heart is set on his endeavors and not Gods. Those who live for God are told to escape to safety and hide themselves till the Lords indignation is passed. (Isaiah 26:20,21). Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

 It would be so nice to think we could avoid the final judgment of God, but it is so needed as Jesus said we are to let the wheat (His people) and the tares (satans evil weeds) grow up together. All that will remain will be His people and only then will righteousness be in the land, and He says to let Jerusalem come to mind as New Jerusalem will be the Holy City God has prepared for His own. (Jeremiah 51:45-50) My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord.And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her. Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the Lord.As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the Lord afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind……(Revelation 21:1-4).

 We are to seek the things which are above and not on things of the earth. For we are dead and our life is hid in Christ! When this earth perishes and it will, it is only what was done for Christ that will matter. He is our life for all eternity! (Colossians 3:1-4). If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

 May we always remember the only true safety we have in this life, is the one we have in Him!The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. (Proverbs 18:10).
