Gods Glory

When we look up at the vastness of the heavens it is a beauty that declares the glory of God! (Psalm 19:1). The god of this world (satan) has blinded the minds of those who do not believe and we as servants of Christ preach not about ourselves, but of the power of the living God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-7).  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

There has now been a mystery revealed through the saints of God and when we think of its meaning it is good to know that Christ can and does live within His people. (Colossians 1:26-29).  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

It is written no man has seen God and lived yet because Moses found grace in Gods eyes he had the honor of viewing Gods glory as He walked past him! (Exodus 33:17-23) And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

The wonderful knowledge of Christ shines within the believer, and it is the wisdom of God we will glory in! (Jeremiah 9:23-24).  Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

  1. Julia, your scripture quote is incorrect in para 3. “(Exodus 3:17-23) ” should be “(Exodus 33:23)”. I’ve made some typos too. LOLGB+

    • See, I just made one and clicked before I read. “…should be (Exodus 33:17-23)”. This Spring has been really hard as I’m getting Jamie to get going and take over my gardening business that I retired from two years ago. The black horse has begun his ride with the other two. LOLGB+

      • Yes we truly are seeing the ride of the black horse along with the other two. It is just a matter of time before we see our Lord returning on the horizon, after much tribulation of course. Be Blessed Always.
        Julia
