There is a great deception in the earth that people do not even realize, which is satan has been cast out into the earth and is the god of this world. As many follow his ways they do not know they have been deceived by him! The light of the gospel is hid from the lost whose minds are blinded to the truth of Christ ( 2 Corinthians 4:1-6) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

 Our Lord was tempted by satan just as we are today, telling Him all this world offers can be theirs if they would just worship him. Jesus did not fall for it, nor should we if we truly love and follow the Lord! ( Mathew 4:3-11).

 The enemy of our soul has one mission in this life, and that is to steer us from believing the good news of the gospel and to believe his lies. Those who understand scripture know our Lord was with God even before the world began, and he was there when satan fell from heaven for trying to put himself above God! (Isaiah 14:12-19) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

 Our Lord confirms He was there when satan fell as we read when the seventy returned and were joyous in that even the devils were subject to them through His name! (Luke 10:17-20) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

 Many take lightly that satan wants to kill,steal and destroy them and is a thief waiting to take away their life (John 10:10). He truly is as a roaring lion waiting to pounce and devour his prey! ( 1 Peter 5:6-11) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

 Remember satan knows he has a short time to accomplish all he has set out to do by distracting us with his devices, but his day is coming when he will no longer be able to deceive the nations for our God is a just God! (Revelation 20:10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

 Only our Lord can set us free from the bondage of sin which satan tries his best to keep us in. He is the truth that sets us free, and satan is the father of lies ( John 8:39-47).
