A heart prepared for God

A heart prepared for God is concerned with what pleases Him more than their own needs, and this concern extends to the well being of others as we do not hesitate to speak the word of God. (Colossians 1:26-27).  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

I can recall throughout life meeting people who spoke the word of God without reservation, and how those around them either made fun of them or called them odd or different. Until ones heart is truly prepared for God those of the world will not understand the way of the Spirit in the life of the true believer. (1 Corinthians 2:11-16).  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

When we seek the Lord and obey Him it in turn causes our life to be filled with many blessings. (Psalm 119:1-3) ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

Although Gods people are a misunderstood people, we know for sure those who live in line with scripture are in good company with their brethren! (PSALM 51:10-13) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

  1. “Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart” May that be our life’s statement!

  3. Amen! “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” (Isaiah 66:2)
