The Lord is not far from anyone who calls upon Him in truth, and it is He who satisfies the desire of every living thing! When we fall it is the Lord who raises us up.(Psalm 145:14-21).  The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

 God is ever merciful to those who walk in His ways, and even if we should fall the Lord will uphold us with His hand. If we do good and not evil then will we dwell forever. (Psalm 37:22-27)  For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore……. (Proverbs 24:15,16).

 The word of the Lord is mighty and powerful, and Jesus who is known as the word has all power to forgive our sins and upholds all things in the earth. (Hebrews 1:1-5).

 We are in good company when we are with those who uphold our soul in the same fight of faith, therefore God is our helper in our just cause as we see in one of David’s psalms. (Psalm 54:1-5).  Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
