To those who love the Lord and believe, they are a light which shines in a dark world by the spirit of God which dwells within them! The Lord is my light and my salvation;whom shall I fear?the Lord is the strength of my life;of whom shall I be afraid?(Psalm 27:1).

 The people of God stand out by the holy spirit which dwells within them, and they shine forth the glory of God in the earth!(Philippians 2:13-15) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 

 In chapter 11 of the book of Hebrews we read of so many who walked by faith. They all desired a better country,and knew one day they would see the city which God had prepared for them,a place He is not ashamed to be called their God! A city where He will be an everlasting light!(Revelation 21:23-27) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Hebrews 11:13-16).

 The city of God was long ago prophesied of and the day will come when all the saints who lived their life for the Lord Jesus Christ will be able to enjoy the glory of God’s presence for all eternity in heaven where there will never again be any darkness!(Isaiah 60:19-22). The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
